That's an awesome drawing if you don't actually draw a lot. I fully admit I can only photoshop and not draw. *sighs*

Steampunk sounds fun, me and a couple of friends were going to try it out for Yaoi con, but I don't think I've got the resources or time for it ;) I already have a Weiss costume in mind which is going to be a bitch!

It is true what they say about costuming, it's very addictive ;) In the past I've made a 17th century ballgown with panniers, a 14th Venetian court dress, a Tudor gown... and my Saiyuki Ukoku cosplay LOL (My thoughts are if you are going to do it and spend money, go big and waste lots of time!)

Good luck! I hope you post pictures as you go along ;)

Ooooh wow that sounds great. I'm actually working on an early regency era gown first, but before I can do any sewing on the Steampunk think, I'll need to gather what I need and do a lot of metal working anyway. The sewing comes way towards the end, so that's ok. I can do both at the same time.

Steampunk is a genre that's only just started gaining popularity in the Netherlands and I've been drooling over the costumes ever since people first started wearing them to the fantasy events about 2 years ago.

We plan to go with a whole group during castlefest which should be fun. Now if I can only convince them to let me write a story fashioning the whole group into something... Probably the crew and passengers on an airship because airships are just cool like that.

Is there any chance you could post pics of your gowns? I'm very, very curious and always love to see other people made!
